Atlantic Home Warranty

Your Second Year of Protection

For Homes Possessed Prior to March 1, 2007

(Applies to homes with Ultimate and Ultimate Plus warranty coverage only)

Unlike the first year of coverage on your home, the Builder is no longer responsible for addressing defects that are covered in the house during the second year on the warranty. Atlantic Home Warranty will assume this role as outlined in the warranty certificate.

These are limited to:

  • Defects in the foundation walls that result in exterior water penetration.
  • Defects in materials or workmanship in the delivery and distribution of the electrical, plumbing and heating systems.

For a detailed outline of your warranty package, please refer to the Warranty Certificate

Addressing Conciliation

  • Send a letter to Atlantic Home Warranty outlining any defects that you may have.
  • Include your "R" and "H" warranty numbers in the letter (these are found on your warranty certificate).
  • Your letter must be sent to AHW by Registered letter.
  • AHW will send a warranty representative to your home to determine if any of the defects qualify for the remaining coverage on your warranty certificate.
