In July 1976, Atlantic Home Warranty (AHW) was established to provide new homebuyers protection and better confidence in Builders.
Originally established by HUDAC (The Housing and Urban Development Association of Canada) as one of the first new home warranty programs throughout Canada, AHW was known as the New Home Certification Program of the Atlantic Provinces
Now over thirty years since its inception, AHW has successfully backed over 100,000 homes across Atlantic Canada.
As a not-for profit organization, AHW is comprised of over 800 Builder Members and guided by a Board of Directors. Together they protect homebuyers by providing a third party home warranty through individual Builder Members.
While the main headquarters are in Halifax, Nova Scotia, AHW has representatives in all four Atlantic Provinces.
AHW allows homebuyers to gain the peace of mind in knowing that one of the biggest investments of their lives will be well protected for 7 years.
To encourage quality service, AHW requires that all their Members take special training courses.
